- What will I learn about on tour a Golden Light Egypt Tour?
You will learn many things about ancient Egypt as well as experience the sights and sounds of modern Egypt… and most especially you will learn about you. You will have the freedom to explore, investigate, relax, enjoy… the potentials are magnificent and they are wondrous, for the joy of travel is that you are travelling to somewhere new… and in Egypt you will be amazed by the magnificnece of ancient temples, stand in awe of imposing pyramids. - What about the practical side of touring?
Ahmed, your local guide, will be with us throughout the tour, and he will assist you with all practical matters such as finding places to buy bottled water, exchanging and withdrawing cash (which you are usually able to do in the hotels), and finding particular shops. He will also tell you what time you need to be ready to visit the ancient sites. He has a vast amount of experience as tour leader and guide, and he enjoys his work immensely. He will also share with you many practical tips to make your visit more enjoyable.
On tour there will be free time when we are not visiting sites, and Ahmed and Sarah can suggest places and activities you may like to experience, or of course you can simply relax with a cooling drink, or rest by the pool. The stay at hotels that have excellent amenities, and that are close to shops and sites. We travel in air-conditioned comfort in private mini-van, and by larger mini-bus for longer distances. Travelling on tour allows you to leave the details of all travel-related organisation to Ahmed and Sarah, allowing you to absorb the wonders of travelling in Egypt and to focus on your inner journey. There will be many opportunities to relax, share experiences, or rest in the coolness of your room.
- Why has Sarah created the Golden Light Egypt Tours?
Sarah experienced her own epiphany when she first travelled in Egypt in April 2010. As she sat on the deck of the Nile cruise boat gazing out at the scenes drifting by, she suddenly knew in the depths of her heart and soul that she was meant to be there – and that all she had learnt and experienced in life had carried her to this place: Egypt. She knew then and there that this was a pivotal time in her life, a true epiphany, and in that moment she knew that from that place in time and space, in Egypt, the whole of the rest of her life would unfurl, like a fan, reaching and arcing out before her.
She saw in that moment of clear knowing that she would run tours to Egypt, and that these tours would bring love, healing and blessings to not only herself, but would bring wonders and joy to all who travelled with her, to those working with her, and she knew that this journey laid out before her was meant to be… it was part of her, part of her soul evolution, part of her life journey.
Sarah has received so many blessings and such immense joy and spiritual growth from her journeys within Egypt and in the creation of the Golden Light Tours that her heart feels joyous and words cannot describe the immense love that she feels within and around her… because she followed her dreams, and because she trusted her loving, inner guidance. - What is it that makes touring together on a Golden Light Egypt Tour so special?
When we travel far from home we are freed from the routines and thought patterns that keep us locked in a certain mind-set, with its routine thought-patterns. On tour you are able to release the bonds, release the masks, and allow the true you to shine forth. Why Egypt?
Egypt is a place of awesome grandeur. Egypt is covered with ancient sites, built for the specific purpose of connecting to god, to deities and to earth. It is no wonder, then, that travel in Egypt can allow profound insights to come forth. In Egypt today life is still focussed upon god – Allah – and upon giving thanks for the wonders and experiences in life. The sound of the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer is an evocative sound, and spirituality is woven into every-day life. In the shops you can often hear the poetic words of the Qur’an sung in sonorous tones… and these are listened to because they help the listener come to a place of love within his or her heart.

- What is Modern Egypt Like?
Egypt today is a coutry that is very much imbued with spirituality. 90% of the population are Muslim, and this religion is rich with the essence of the One God who is called Allah. Daily life is blended with spiritual life, and this creates many opporutities for joyful thanksgiving – giving thanks for life, for the love of god, for the blessings of life. The Qur’an teaches that everyone has a personal connection to god, and that this god is kind, merciful, and forgiving. These teachings bring forth joy and happiness within the hearts of many Egyptians, and this is the true face of Egypt: smiles, kindness, and laughter.
Family values are very important in Muslim society, which for the majority of Egyptians creates caring, kind relationships which are lasting because each person strives to be the best that they can be within the relationship. The Muslim religion teaches people to blend the heart and the mind when looking for solutions to problems and, like Allah, to be forgiving and non-judgemental. The vast majority of Egyptians want the best for themselves, their children and their country – as we all do - and we can support them on this journey by trusting and respecting them as our brothers and sisters, for this is surely what we would wish for ourselves, too.
A note from Sarah…
It is my great pleasure to bring you these tours that are times for joy, insight and wonder. Each time I visit Egypt new experiences come forward and new insights occur in many different ways that teach me about life in ancient Egypt and life in general. These then go on to assist me in the present. I look forward to being able to guide you into new experiences as we travel together, understanding that each tour group will receive information that is particularly relevant to those in that group.
You don’t need to be spiritual or psychic to enjoy a tour with Ahmed and me - an open mind, a desire to learn, and an interest in Egypt and new experiences are all that you need to participate and to enjoy your time on tour , ‘Walking with Spirit’.
If you are contemplating coming on one of these tours to Egypt then you may be feeling emotions within your heart and body as you think of this potential. Please pay attention to your instincts and to the feelings in your heart. If the tour comes to mind often and yet you feel unsure what to do then this can be a sign that part of you is urging you to join the tour and another part is resisting. This is usually because part of you senses that the tour will bring change – and even if this is wonderful, exciting and happy change the mind can become anxious because of course we tend to be creatures of habit who usually prefer to stay in our ‘comfort zones’. In these cases I recommend sitting and calming the breath and the mind, and then tuning in to the quiet voice of your heart to see what it ‘says’ in order to get a real feel for what you would like to do – what ‘you’ would like to do, not your mind
